Young Entrepreneur Spotlight: Ma’Laiya Dyanne Lei Crawford
Ma’Laiya Dyanne Lei Crawford has officially become a co-owner of her family's business, SoESE Management, a company that has been a part of the entertainment industry for 19 years. SoESE Management specializes in artist management, concert promotion, concert facilitation, live concert production, music production, and consulting services for emerging artists.
From an early age, Ma’Laiya demonstrated exceptional intelligence and academic ability. She excelled in reading during the second grade, and her strengths continued to grow in mathematics, English, and science. Her dedication to learning and academic excellence has remained consistent throughout her educational journey.
In the fourth grade, Ma’Laiya developed a strong passion for drawing and freehand painting. Her artistic talent continued to flourish as she progressed through school. By the seventh grade, her artwork was featured in school art exhibitions,
showcasing both her creativity and commitment to artistic excellence.
Now entering high school as a freshman, Ma’Laiya has developed a deep interest in graphic arts and design. Her creativity, combined with her academic discipline, positions her for success in the ever-evolving world of visual arts and digital media. She has already contributed to creative projects within the family business and continues to expand her artistic skills.
Inspired by her brother, Malachi Crawford, and his aspirations of attending an Ivy League institution, Ma’Laiya has conducted extensive research into colleges and universities that align with her career goals. Her top choice is Yale University, which offers a highly respected and diverse program in graphic arts and design.
Ma’Laiya plans to maintain her strong academic performance throughout high school while preparing for the SAT and ACT examinations. With her dedication to education, passion for the arts, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong family support system, she is positioning herself to be a competitive candidate for admission to Yale and other prestigious institutions of higher learning.
