Born in Fulton, Missouri, Joe McBride discovered his extraordinary musical gift at just four years old when he began playing the piano. What started as a childhood talent would develop into a remarkable career spanning jazz, smooth jazz, vocals, touring, recording, and international performance.
As Joe's musicianship continued to evolve, he made the decision to pursue a formal education in music. He attended three colleges, ultimately completing his studies at the University of North Texas, where he majored in Jazz Performance. His classical piano training, combined with his distinctive vocals and deep understanding of jazz, helped shape the unique sound that would become his signature.
Joe McBride emerged during the rise of the Smooth Jazz movement, bringing together his sophisticated piano technique, soulful voice, and contemporary approach to jazz. Throughout his career, he has released nine albums, establishing himself as a respected recording artist and performer.
His recordings have featured collaborations and performances with some of the most respected names in contemporary jazz and R&B, including Grover Washington Jr., Richard Elliott, Dave Koz, Rick Braun, Peter White, and Phil Perry.
Beyond the studio, McBride has taken his music around the world, performing on stages throughout the United States and internationally.
